The EFB-2010 Fire Box features an ace cylinder lock with an additional hole to accommodate a Knox 3501 key lock, which can be purchased from the Knox Company website. The Knox Company will provide a Model 3501 cylinder that is keyed for your local fire department. It's important to note that each city has a unique keyed lock, so you will need to provide your installation address to receive the correct lock. Please note that the Knox key lock is not included with the fire box and must be purchased separately from the Knox Company.
The fire box provides a method for emergency gate access, accepting the Knox 3501 key switch, which can be purchased from the Knox Company (but is not included). The box offers ample room inside for the placement of gate release keys as a backup to the micro switch.
Constructed from 14-gauge steel, the fire box is powder-coated in a bright red finish. Its dimensions are 6" (H) x 5 1/2" (W) x 3" (D), with a .75" inch diameter.
